Welcome!
Just as our name says, we lease gas transports; but not just any gas transports. We at Gas Transport Leasing (“GTL”) specialize in leasing high pressure gas transports that use composite cylinders that give our customer greater gas payloads while remaining lightweight. High pressure gases such natural gas (CNG), hydrogen, helium, and breathing air benefit with GTL’s transports by doubling or tripling the gas capacity over traditional heavy, steel tube trailers.
So why choose composite cylinder based transports over conventional steel transports, for several reasons:
- High fill capacities and lighter weight transports = Saves money!!!
- Greater heat dissipation during filling increases the fill capacity
- Higher safety margins. Composite cylinders have burst strengths typically in the 3-3.4 x MWP ranges while steel cylinders are only 2.25 x MWP.
- Safer design standards than steel trailers. Most composite trailers are built to withstands loads of 8G’s on all axes while steel trailers require 2G’s on one axis and 1G on the other axes.
We have full line of high pressure transports to offer from pick-up towable to larger, 40’ models. And, if we don’t have what you are looking for in stock or you need it customized, we can do that usually quicker than if you were to purchase new.
Why lease when you could buy?
There are cases and pros and cons for both leasing and buying equipment, but when the circumstances favor leasing, we want to be your “go to” company. The biggest reasons favoring leasing are:
- CapEx budget limitations
- Often quicker approval than CapEx approvals
- Shorter term, project based requirements
- Eliminates headaches of retesting and periodic maintenance
- Immediate equipment requirement(s)
- Often, more advantageous tax treatment (depending upon how the lease is structured)
- Opportunity to try out composite based transports before committing to purchasing.
